Important results from the project
We have succeeded in building an open-source project that makes it possible to collect data from multiple sources while running web-based end-to-end tests. We have also succeeded in building internal infrastructure to be able to receive, store and display the data in a meaningful way to users. We have shown and discussed the project to customers in a way that makes us confident that our project will be relevant to them.
Expected long term effects
The delivered project has given us a more valuable product that our customers are interested in and want to use. We will work on the open source project long-term, and it is an important way for us to be visible and found by customers online.
Approach and implementation
Overall, we did well with the development of both the data collection project and our internal infrastructure. There were several instances where we had to rebuild large parts of the data collection because it was inadequate, but in the end we feel we have something that is durable and looks good. We had one full-time engineer and one part-time engineer working on the project.
