Purpose and goal
The project eGovlab - National demonstration and test environment for public innovation aims to contribute to more effective e-government. The project will run until 2017 and is divided into four phases. The project is in its early stages and this final report covers the first part of the startup phase. In this part of the project, communication has been initiated, a project group staffed, the first installation of the test environment set up and an application for continued funding has been developed. This result satisfies well the objectives of this part of the project.
Results and expected effects
The result consists of a number of partial deliveries which aims to increase awareness of the national demonstration and test environment, establish an initial technical infrastructure, staff the base organization and secure funding for the remaining project. The expected impact of this was deepened relationships with key stakeholders, identification of strategic projects and preparedness for continued funding. This has been met and the project is now moving forward in the start-up phase with funds, strategic projects and staffed organization.
Approach and implementation
The approach for the first part of the start-up phase has been based on continued planning paired with short-term deliveries to establish substance in the project. We have managed to free up resources and staffed the project for the spring and simultaneously implemented an initial technical infrastructure. The analysis shows that the breadth and complexity of the project require a relatively long start-up phase. The project is staffed and the strategic projects will begin in the spring. Hence, it is in line with the overall plan and will be implemented ahead of schedule in the spring.
