Purpose and goal
The aim is to develop and test Legal Landing (LL), a traceability system that addresses the new national and EU fisheries regulations and the European Digital Product Passport requirements. LL will provide a secure, efficient, and cost-effective compliance solution, ensuring product quality, legality, and supply chain transparency through accurate data capture and integrated verification. Chalmers Industriteknik will amongst other work on assessing the value chain traceability and the adaptability potential of the solution.
Expected effects and result
The project will result in a traceability solution that is: 1. Scalable and adapted to different types of fisheries, sizes and locations of vessels, and reception facilities; 2. User-friendly, providing easy access to information and data for all stakeholders; 3. Easy to scale-up and with the lowest environmental impact in the market regarding manufacturing and installation; 4. Long-lasting and able to be placed in any part of the supply chain; 5. Transforming the power from a traditional supply chain to a fully transparent and traceable one, enabling maximising efficiency.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is structured in the following Work Packages: WP 1: Design requirements for a Regulatory Compliant, User-Centric, and Cost-Efficient traceability system (M1-5) WP2: Assessment of value chain traceability and solution reproducibility/scalability (M1-9) WP3: Software maturation and development (M5-25) WP4: Piloting (M25-31) WP5: Project Management and Consortium Coordination (M1-31) Chalmers Industriteknik will lead WP 2 and also participate in WP1, 4, 5 and 6.
