Purpose and goal

Dance for Health is a research-based method to strengthen mental health in young. To offer a safe evaluation of participants health effects that is valuable for the customer and contributes to a broad dissemination- the goal was to digitize the questionnaries. This would reduce the risks posed by paper surveys and give a national overview of health effects from the intervention. The goal has been achieved. Progress due to development in collaboration with customers. Scientific follow-up with research center starts in 2021. Several organisations have already started using the system.

Expected results and effects

Positive project outcome and expected effects achieved. Regulatory investigation carried out, digital questionnaries designed and developed after customer evaluation and in new collaboration with research center. Data collection of the first groups showed positive health effects which facilitated decision-making for future investments in dance groups. National implementation is ongoing. International establishment: Despite the pandemic, good relations with Finland have led to collaboration regarding applications for implementation and digital evaluation there.

Planned approach and implementation

All of the planned activities have been completed. 1. As personal data and data concerning personal health are being handled, a regulatory investigation and adaptation was required to meet the requirements. 2. Development in collaboration with the customer and users. New customers joined in during the project period 3. Updating the business model with regard to the customers’ use of digital evaluation and access to data on participants health effects. 4. Preparation for implementation in different types of organizations during the project time was more time consuming than expected.
