Important results from the project

The DIGITALIS project has successfully developed DIGA, an innovative tool for creating efficient and usable work instructions. The results have been very well received and are being disseminated through national and international initiatives. The project has strengthened collaboration between academia and industry, increased knowledge of cognitive ergonomics and digital information management, and created new opportunities for future innovations in smart and sustainable production environments.

Expected long term effects

DIGITALIS is expected to contribute to improved production quality, better working conditions, and enhanced competitiveness through more usable and digitally adapted work instructions. The project promotes social sustainability by reducing cognitive load and increasing the accessibility of instructions. It strengthens the industry´s digital maturity and creates new research and innovation opportunities, particularly in AI adaptation, AR/VR, and the future of smart production environments.

Approach and implementation

The DIGITALIS project was carried out in close collaboration between academia and industry. It included analyses of existing work instructions, development of guidelines, and the creation of the DIGA tool. Through case studies and testing in real production environments, solutions were tailored to operators’ needs. The project also included workshops and dissemination activities to promote continued use and development of the results.
