Purpose and goal

The project explores how policy instruments and digital technologies, especially DPP, blockchain and AI, can enable more circular and resource-efficient public procurement. Using public sector procurement of interiors as a starting point, a policy lab and a future pilot are being implemented with the aim of creating a framework for DPP integration in the public sector that can be scaled up and used nationally.

Expected effects and result

Expected Results:Mapping of technical and regulatory conditions for DPP in public procurement, with focus on reused furniture.Preliminary analysis of interoperability, data sharing, AI and blockchain.Initial framework for procurement practices and circular models.Policy review identifying key regulatory needs for DPP. Effects: Increased digital maturity and traceability in public procurement and higher share of circular procurement through scalable solutions.

Planned approach and implementation

The project uses a policy lab to explore how instruments around DPP can make public procurement more efficient. The lab co-creates solutions with municipalities, companies and stakeholders. Initial pilot study exploring the practical implementation of DPP to support public procurement´s drive towards efficiency and circularity. Compilation of results and insights from the policy lab and the future pilot in a policy guidance for digital product passports in public procurement.
