Important results from the project
The purpose of the project has been to develop our existing digital sustainability tool so that more actors, in more industries, address their sustainability work. The goal has been to develop our existing tool to become more flexible to be able to adapt to more industries, become more user-friendly and handle collected data better. The goals have been met and we now have more actors using our tool. The tool has been translated, developed to be more user-friendly with a completely new design and now more flexible to adapt to other industries.
Expected long term effects
The tool has now been developed and thus it has been possible for more actors, in more industries, that they have been able to deal with their sustainability work. The expected effect was that it would lead to reduced carbon dioxide emissions, lower resource consumption, less use of chemicals, increased gender equality, availability, transparency and diversity. And it has, that based on the fact that we have more users. We will now be able to pick out measurable data and follow up the work annually.
Approach and implementation
The plan was to first take the help of a UX designer who could sketch out all the steps / new design and in the next phase hand over the work to a programmer who could carry out the programming. We have had many meetings together with both the programmer and the UX designer continuously throughout the project, so as not to miss any essential parts and constantly weighed by different suggestions for solutions. We have had transparency between all parties and that was the key to landing the project. We have added the time we budgeted and purchased the expected hours from the designer and programmer.
