Important results from the project
The project aimed to investigate and create the conditions required for the launch of a premium service for Detecht´s motorcycle app. In mid-May, the first version of Detecht´s premium offer was released. We have verified different market channels (based on CPI and usage) and experimented with our premium offer. The premium version consists of old functions and functions that have been developed in connection with this project. Furthermore, we have improved our safety algorithm to make it easier to connect our service to alarm centers abroad.
Expected long term effects
During the project, we analysed different types of market channels in different countries. We have identified 3 channels that will be prioritized in for reaching customers. We have analysed all collected driving data and performed new crash tests which led to an improved algorithm. We have not yet contacted alarm centers abroad, but we have successfully permanented our solution to SOS Alarm in Sweden. We released our premium version a month ago. We have not yet analyzed the results but it has been developed in close collaboration with our users and we have made more sales than expected.
Approach and implementation
The work has been done internally and has been divided into three work packages: - Algorithm optimization and verification. Continuous work during the project time. - Design and develop the premium offer. Started in January and thereafter continuous experimentation and development. - Verify market channels and willingness to pay. Verification of market channels has been ongoing since the start of the project while premium conversion started in the beginning of May.
