Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** DAVIS is based on a concept from Lutra that supports forensic work for crime scenes and which, through laser scanning, camera streams and game technology in Unity, visualizes a crime scene and an event. DAVIS takes the project from concept and proof of concept to prototype, which also includes use in industrial security and training of security personnel, as well as includes a VR module to be able to "step into" the virtual environments. Based on this, DAVIS can be used as an educational tool, forensic tool or as support in preventive security work.

Expected effects and result

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Delivery of a prototype that integrates different data streams and smoothly streamlines the process of transferring scanned material from a physical location to a Unity environment, with different streams plugged in, as well as the establishment of two new environments in addition to the existing one: one for educational purposes and one for industrial safety. In addition, the project must deliver a VR module to be able to step into the environment. The goal is to be contribute to better security work for civilian and law enforcement.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project is led by RISE overall, while Lutra leads the technical development and Axis the connection to camera streams and associated data sources. The project will explore different methods for better scanning and transfer from physical environment to 3D-generated digital environment, technical solutions for increased automation and multi-component streams with different data sources and functions that can be used in the work. The work also includes an ethical basis linked to the questions and an analysis of needs and benefits.
