Purpose and goal
The collaboration between the students, the firms and the Chalmers representatives has been very productive. -One firm keeps the innovation process developed by the students, and found a new department based on the students´ work, others say that they greatly value the contributions -5/10 students are employed by two of the firms. 9/10 have finished the program -A new form of examination has been established where students simultaneuosly deliver results and collect research data -The CELL platform is established -We expand with one firm in year 2015-2016
Results and expected effects
We have supported the companies to drive radical entrepreneurial initiatives. In 3/4 companies, the initiatives are still ongoing (restructuring made one impossible). Building on Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, we have established a new way to drive corporate entrepeneurship and supporting academic education. In summary, we have supported 4 successful initiatives, educated 10 change agents, increased the firms´ entrepreneurial ability (according to them). Most likely we have also developed such ability with leaders in the firms (harder to have data on).
Approach and implementation
Something that has greatly supported the relative success of the initiatives and the education is that we have driven the initiatives in short cycles with top sponsor support, intensive coaching and peer learning (consistent with research findings in the field). We have pushed hard to have initiatives have both a technical and a market dimension. We have used coaching and learning modules to support them. Organizational politics turned out to be a great challenge. CELL has been very work intensive.
