Important results from the project
The project purpose: is to conduct a survey of the Swedish consultancy sectors of Sweden. The project has two objectives, namely to develop concepts and categories for a description of the consultancy sector in Sweden, and that based on the developed conceptual apparatus carry out a survey and thereby obtaining valuable experience on the opportunities and limitations that are inavailable data. The report is to be used for strategic discussions and deliberations, as well nationally and regionally.

The intention is that the report will be used for future policy development
Approach and implementation
The project focuses on the consulting sector, which consists of knowledge-intensive company that mainly supplies qualified assignments for corporate clients. The statistical data are based on 2007-2012. The database included 6421 companies with 212,753 employees (in 2012). The companies have been categorized by the functional and consulting company performs for the client company. In addition, information from all companies with over 5 employees obtained from the companies´ websites.
