Important results from the project
The aim of the project is to spread the knowledge and experience generated at Karolinska University Hospital prior innovation procurement. The goal was to provide organizations with tested tools and knowledge to carrying out a pilot study before innovation procurements. This was done by producing a book describing the methodologies used at Karolinska University Hospital for an innovation procurement pilot study.
Expected long term effects
A book describing innovation procurement methodology has been developed. This is expected to give organizations in Sweden the tools needed to conduct innovation procurements. The book will be presented at the conference in Sweden in the end of May 2017.
Approach and implementation
The project has summarized the material from the pilot study (prior innovation procurement) performed at Karolinska University Hospital and the discussions of the methodology during breakfast seminaries. The result is a third book of methods and approaches together with our experience of innovation procurement. In addition, the project has also delivered a summary of the work to the Procurement authority for further spread in different formats.
