Purpose and goal
With the ongoing AI revolution, the European development, deployment and operation of computing systems, hosting these AI services, are crucial to maintain Sweden’s and Europe’s digital sovereignty, and to support the local industry. The ACHIEVE project, and its implemented master program aims to provide means for KTH and for Sweden to attract students and young professionals in these growing and strategically important technology areas with high demand for new graduates.
Expected effects and result
Aligned with the New European Innovation Agenda, ACHIEVE’s curriculum will train over 150 participants across ten Member States, at MSc levels. It aims to bridge the gap in advanced digital skills in Europe, enhancing competitiveness in crucial digital technology domains like cloud computing and HPC. The added value of this project includes: an updated curricula, Strengthened connections with the industry and icnreased public awareness.
Planned approach and implementation
KTH is responsible for the work package on Market analysis and curriculum development, and contributes both to the first and second year of the master program. For this KTH performs the development of the local curriculum to uniquely cover the areas of cloud, networking and HPC, altogether seven compulsory courses and ca. twenty elective courses. KTH also contributes with three newly designed self-standing online courses, one on HPC, one on cloud networks and one on performance evaluation.
