Venture Calls within the Hållbar Industri area

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop methods for moving from conflict of interest to a shared problem formulation of cultural and historical values of landscapes in relation to energy transition infrastructure. The project tries two tools connected to wind power planning, Landscape Character Analysis and dialogue, with objective to further develop tools for planning and dialogue where local society and industrial investments meet and contribute to a social, sustainable industry and attractive habitat.

Expected effects and result

The project stems from the need to develop a method for processing common future scenarios with a focus on conversion capacity and spatial characteristics, as well as a common understanding of expectations and form for dialogue linked to wind power planning. Through a relationship and a social contract between industry and local society in a collaborative action, conditions are created to develop a fast, resilient and scalable conversion capacity on a regional/local level.

Planned approach and implementation

Four steps: -Cultural values of landscape in time of transformation. Prerequisites for structural and mutual understanding of cultural and historical values of the landscape. -Characteristics of the dialogue. From conflicts of interest to coexistence between new energy infrastructure (wind power) and values of the landscape for local society (case study). -Compensation models. Comparing Sverige, Denmark and Germany. -Communication and potential. Seminar on results, opportunities and challenges.
