Important results from the project

The goals set at the start have been met, to develop a model and strategy to create a national innovation infrastructure that integrates civil and military actors. In the project, dual-use technologies have been identified that can support both civilian and military applications. Other important results have been to describe how partnerships can help create an important node for developing new technologies and methods needed in the civil-military sector.

Expected long term effects

The long-term effects are expected to be involved in creating a national effort with collaborating nodes. The collaboration between the parties Innovatum Science Park, Produktionstekniskt Centrum and Högskolan Väst contributes to being a joint node that can deliver knowledge to support the civil-military sector regarding work in industrial manufacturing, management of innovation processes and contribute knowledge for how startups and companies can collaborate with the military sector.

Approach and implementation

The project had three work packages where the participating parties contributed in different ways. The activities were initially set to consist largely of internal work, but the acquisition of knowledge was extended to participating in work days and seminars with other relevant parties. These meetings have helped to reinforce that the proposed model is realistic and relevant. The schedule has been kept and the collaboration worked excellently.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
