Important results from the project
The project´s goals were all met, and the partner group is satisfied with the result: a playbook that helps the target audience work with something as complex as innovation ecosystems tangibly, providing a common language and shared understanding of how to coordinate efforts to improve them.
Expected long term effects
The long-term effect of the playbook is hopefully a shift in how we view, build, and sustain innovation ecosystems — moving from fragmented, static models to dynamic, strategic, and collaborative systems that drive innovation, economic growth, and societal value over time. The playbook aids the region in building capacity for this new way of working.
Approach and implementation
The project consisted of two work packages: 1: focused on understanding the needs of the Swedish regions concerning increased innovation ecosystem coordination. These were assessed through research and interviews. This resulted in a presentation that concluded a need for methodological guidance that aids the regions in this complex work. 2: drove the development of the playbook. Through co-creation workshops with regional actors, the Ecosystem Playbook was developed, tested, and refined.
