Important results from the project
The project achieved its goals by establishing collaborations between Sweden and Chile under the SCORE initiative. The cooperation was documented through non-binding letters of interest (LOIs) forming the basis for future cluster formalization. Key Swedish industrial partners and leading Chilean universities have signed and expressed strong support for the initiative.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to result in a long-term Swedish-Chilean research and innovation cluster in ore geology and exploration. The cluster will strengthen Sweden’s global competitiveness, enable joint research projects, and contribute to the green transition through sustainable and knowledge-based mineral exploration.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out as planned, including a field and collaboration trip to Chile. Meetings were held with universities, authorities, and industry, resulting in signed LOIs. Lectures at the Swedish Embassy and Universidad de Chile raised visibility. The schedule was followed, and cooperation between partners worked very well.
