Important results from the project

Spacemetrics Bluestone softwarefor handling video and still images was adapted to ST´s airborne surveillance system and ground system. Ground personnel, despite limited bandwidth, have "virtual" access to on-board imagery. ST can now market Spacemetrics Bluestone software. ST can also offer the Bluestone software adapted to NATO´s FMN standard for intelligence exchange (Federated Mission Networking).

Expected long term effects

ST is now able to market and sell Spacemetric´s Bluestone software and Unibap´s hardware. This is expected to lead to further in-depth collaboration between ST and Spacemetric, as well as with Unibap.

Approach and implementation

The work was carried out according to plan, i.e.: Spacemetric adapted its software to the new needs. Unibap adapted its on-board computers to the new area of application. ST provided eligibility requirements for the system and provided input during the work. The cooperation between the parties flowed well, as did the work itself. The schedule was kept. No external factors affected the work, and no unexpected and unplanned events of importance occurred. The cooperation flowed well.
