Important results from the project
The project´s objective was to build and evaluate an augmented reality app for construction, that is easy to set up and use in real world environments. The app is highly flexible and can be used with projects ranging from preschools to hospitals and bridges.
Expected long term effects
By focusing on a cost effective platform - iPad - we have been able to reach a large audience during early testing and have received great interest in the app from testers.
Approach and implementation
During the project, our focus has been to follow foremen and BIM / VDC managers during their daily work and ensure we build an app that corresponds to their actual needs on the work site. Through regular dialogs and reviews, we´ve been able to focus development on the features and qualities that were our clients´ top priority.
