Important results from the project
The objective of the project was largely met. New solutions for high-precision positioning and radar-like sensing were developed and demonstrated, although hardware limitations affected accuracy in real-world environments. Several technical advances were achieved, including the development of antenna modules, and important lessons were learned about ecosystem integration. The results provide a valuable foundation for continued project.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to have long-term effects through strengthened collaboration between actors and funding for the development of future 6G positioning and sensor technology. The results are used in education, research, standardization and product development, and contribute to establishing Sweden as a key player. They also provide a basis for new products and continued research collaborations.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented according to plan with some adjustments. Despite partner dropouts, personnel changes and hardware-related delays, the goals were achieved after an extension. Regular meetings and close technical dialogue enabled good coordination and on-time deliveries. The collaboration between academia and industry worked well and the approach proved to be appropriate for the project´s objective.
