Important results from the project
Our business idea was to develop a climate-positive payment card with an associated app that allows users to get money back from their everyday purchases through so-called cashback campaigns, money that they can then donate in parts or fully to climate-positive projects.
Expected long term effects
We have reached the first milestones of building the proposed MVP product and are expected to have it ready by early next year. We are already testing a small beta product that will be developed into the complete idea. However, our intended strategy with a card solution proved to be less optimal for this stage, so we are looking at a more flexible solution now for linking transactions to our service.
Approach and implementation
We designed the beta app, showed it to potential users and collected feedback. At the same time, we initiated conversations with third-party solutions that our service needs. We are now working on completing the MVP product by early next year. The most difficult part for us has been to recruit the technical skills we need for development. The Swedish market has a shortage of developers or rather a strong competition for those that exist. We are therefore now working with an external resource to develop the product until when we can recruit our own development resource.
