Important results from the project
Autosec has contributed with knowledge sharing in existing cybersecurity projects. The capacity in Swedish vehicle industry has been strengthened. Commercial actors have been invited to speak at several occasions. The project has performed both lunch- and full day seminars. More vehicle companies have been invited to this forum. Autosec has strengthened the collaboration between OEM:s, academia, external companies and research institutes. The project has also established a collaboration with RISE own Centre for Cyber Security.
Expected long term effects
The project has contributed by organizing and bringing together researchers and product developers within cyber security and has thus freed up time for own product development within car and vehicle OEM:s. The project has also linked the automotive industry to academia and research institutes, which in turn have generated new projects. The complexity of the vehicle system increases over time and the requirement for cyber security will be tightened, which increases the need for knowledge exchange and national efforts to strengthen collaborations and vehicle cyber security.
Approach and implementation
The work was organized in four different work packages where WP1 included project management, WP2 intelligence monitoring and WP3 physical disseminatopn. WP3 was limited due to the pandemic to only three occasions. WP4 meant digital dissemination, which included both lunch seminars and social media as well as the website. An all-day conference was also conducted entirely online. Feedback from the parties shows that this arrangement has not been cost-effective. The proposal going forward is to create a national arena with physical meetings and conferences but without newsletters.
