Important results from the project
The aim was to develop a solution to "enable faster automation of time-consuming knowledge processes and tasks." The specific goal was "that by the end of the project, at least 20 organizations would have used the solution to automate at least 50 time-consuming processes or process steps." Both the purpose and the goal have been fulfilled. The solution has been tested by nearly one hundred individuals from around sixty organizations. Feedback has been integrated into the solution, which has also been launched on a smaller scale to customers and has gained a few paying users.
Expected long term effects
The project result is a new product that has already been launched on a smaller scale. The solution provides users with better decision-making data in a shorter time and at a significantly lower cost. By delegating the reading, information finding and summarization of large volumes of text to AI, users can focus on more value-adding tasks such as analysis and decision-making proposals. This potentially enables the release of thousands of work hours across numerous organizations, including interest groups, public administration, and businesses.
Approach and implementation
A group of around thirty organizations was involved at the start of the project as stakeholders, significantly more than the three collaboration partners formally part of the project. Based on the participants´ use cases, a solution was designed to cover as many of these as possible. The development of the solution turned out to be more complex than planned, which delayed user testing and feedback from the initial stakeholders. However, this was compensated by involving an additional 20 organizations over the course of the project.
