Purpose and goal

Antenna isolation modeling is critical for applications such as full-duplex and integrated sensing and communication, as well as for handling future requirements for co-location of base station equipment, but at the same time challenging and resource-intensive due to the large number of antenna elements. Improved methods are needed to efficiently build EM models, simulate and evaluate data. The goal is to develop software functions that automate this simulation workflow.

Expected effects and result

With an automated simulation flow, it becomes possible to automate the search for the most resource-efficient simulation method and setting, for a given simulation case. The idea is to be able to extract a quality-of-fit for each simulation to be able to determine which one is the most resource-efficient.

Planned approach and implementation

250217 Feasibility study and planning 250330 Functions for quality-of-fit for simulation efficiency based on convergence. 250430 Functions for comparing simulation results to evaluate model simplifications. 250530 Use of functions to search for the most efficient possible method. 250630 Reporting with recommendation for simulation.
