Atritec: our innovative platform redefines the utility mapping process

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to conduct a feasibility study, consisting of three main areas. Together these efforts would confirm the market need and ensure the future development processes will progress in the right direction. The overall goal was thus to achieve an immersed knowledge about how the work is done today at the potential customers. Apart from this a specification and a development roadmap would be established. All of these goals were met during the feasibility study.

Expected results and effects

The result of the project is a market analysis based on a solid basis and a technical development plan. Together they make up a good foundation for an efficient development process of a product that’s been validated by potential customers. The perceived impacts are that this will enable a faster progress of the development as a clear specification has been established. Another impact is that the market introduction hopefully will be easier since discussions already has been initiated with several potential customers.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is divided into two phases, the feasibility phase and the development phase. Within the frames of this program, the feasibility has been done. The purpose of this setup is to de-risk the business idea at an early stage by involving potential customers. This approach has turned out well and we have during the project been successful in initiating discussions with stakeholders. Throughout the project, we discovered that the discussions with the utility companies created more value, why we decided to put more focus on those meetings than on meetings with entrepreneurs.
