Important results from the project

The project has established a joint AI-based platform that strengthens cooperation between municipalities, civil society, academia and business to prevent children and young people from ending up in organized crime. A first version has been developed together with a cross-sectoral working method and learning around data sharing, AI use, prompting and its application in daily work. The next step is to test and deepen the solution in a police region and the city of Helsingborg through local use.

Expected long term effects

The project builds lasting impact with an AI-powered platform and practices that enable coordinated, data-driven crime prevention. It improves decisions, reduces duplication, and strengthens capacity for timely, targeted actions. This foundation supports a national AI model and creates synergies through new partnerships and growing interest—opening paths for broad scaling and reduced youth recruitment. It fosters collaboration between actors, ensuring shared insights and coordinated strategies.

Approach and implementation

The project combined technical development of the AI platform with co-creation through workshops, training and iterative testing. Activities included user education on AI and security, hands-on sessions for prompt design, and routines for data upload and feedback. While relevant, engagement and data collection were slower than planned, requiring adjustments. Despite this, the timeline held, and unexpected synergies plus broad dissemination strengthened collaboration and future scaling.
