Important results from the project

Agrotechology – a future prototype for farming, data sharing, and collaboration. Through living labs, we sparked discussion, energy, and optimism— we can´t reach a future we can´t imagine. The prototype ignited new momentum among participants. By 2050, Sweden is collectively food-secure through MATO, the food alliance, and co-creating bioregions. Smart farms thrive with a new generation merging sustainability and innovation. Our prototype inspires new paths for a regenerative food system.

Expected long term effects

The future prototype will be used by the innovation platform Regenerator to inspire conversations and contribute to discussions about a regenerated food system. Regenerator has a group of around 50 investors and entrepreneurs "Regenerative Future" who will experience the future prototype at the next network meeting. The collaboration with Business Region Göteborg can influence the policy work Gothenburg Food 2035.

Approach and implementation

We followed the foresight process with a focus on learning and nurturing the food system. The scenario was greatly deepened during the exploration phase, but the prototype was developed later than planned – an earlier version would have benefited the project. The collaboration worked well, and many people were engaged, but managing all the new relationships was a challenge. The delay of the Food Strategy 2.0 made it more difficult to create debate.
