Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to prepare a strong Horizon Europe proposal for AETHER, focusing on digital building blocks for Earth Observation and Satellite Communications. The goal is to align the consortium, clarify partner roles and work packages, strengthen the technical basis through two feasibility studies, and improve the impact, exploitation, and implementation sections so that the proposal is credible, competitive, and ready for submission.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to deliver a submission-ready Horizon Europe proposal, an aligned international consortium, clearer EO and SatCom validation scenarios, and preliminary feasibility results. In the longer term, it will increase the chances of securing EU funding and strengthen Swedish and European capacity in adaptive AI for sustainable, competitive space services.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out through coordinated consortium meetings, bilateral partner discussions, and a multi-day workshop in Halmstad. The work will clarify scope, roles, work packages, and implementation logic. In parallel, two focused feasibility studies will be conducted, and the impact, exploitation, budget, and proposal sections will be iteratively developed into a complete Horizon Europe application.
