Important results from the project
A competitive proposal HORIZON-CL5-2026-01-D2-01 titled: Advanced design-to-cost and versatile approaches for next-generation CRM lean battery manufacturing with energy-efficient processing is being submitted. The proposal includes sustainable and low-cost manufacturing methods such as semi-dry extrusion, PFAS-free binder, microwave drying and rapid molding process with the ultimate goal of reaching TRL 6.
Expected long term effects
In the long term, the project will deliver a low-cost battery technology with high durability and a low carbon footprint without compromising performance.
Approach and implementation
A strong consortium has been established across the entire battery value chain, bringing together academia and industry and reaching out to potential partners by leveraging existing academia and industry networks. The project was led through online meetings and scheduling. Avsnitten Excellence, Impact and Implementation in the proposal were carefully written to create a highly competitive proposal. Mentoring and guidance were provided throughout the proposal development process.
