Important results from the project

The goal of the project was to collaborate with Mohaddeseh Amiri-Aref to achieve: 1. Excellence in chemistry, biotechnology, health and biosensors 2. Academic competence, e.g. academic essays and reports 3. Increased diversity in the company; new ideas and methods 4. Reinforced project team with focus on saliva-based NTproBNP biomarkers The first three (3) parts of the project have been completed with good results. Stage 4 took place at the beginning of the project, but was then shifted to working with product development of Acorai´s primary product and sustainability work.

Expected long term effects

Collaboration has taken place between Mohaddeseh Amiri-Aref and Acorai. The project has led to an exchange of knowledge and experiences between the parties, where Acorai is developed through collaboration in chemistry, biotechnology, health and biosensors. Mohaddeseh has been working with multifaceted opportunities to develop in several different areas. Our objective with the project was to continue R&D for a saliva-based NTproBNP product. When we noticed that the results of the research was not up-to-par, the focus changed to use Mohaddeseh´s knowledge in other areas.

Approach and implementation

The collaboration between Acorai and Mohaddeseh was divided into four stages, of which changes were made: 1. Feasibility of NT-proBNP biomarker in heart failure treatment: conducted in full. 2. Feasibility of NT-proBNP integration to current Acorai products: changed to product development in several different project together with the product team. 3. Communication with possible partners for development and testing: changed to collaborations with the operations team. 4. Academic writing & Sustainability: Sustainability & writing together with the operations team.
