Important results from the project

The project has been implemented according to plan. The pandemic became a catalyst for digitalisation of processes and international collaborations. The collaboration has worked well, both internally and with actors such as HealthTech Nordic, UC Berkeley and SISP. New initiatives such as CO-AX were launched after peer review within SISP, and the project has been strengthened with a focus on IR and regulatory excellence.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute long-term to increased renewal in life science in West Sweden, strengthened international competitiveness, and sustainable growth in new companies. Innovations will reach healthcare and individuals faster, improving quality and cost efficiency. More jobs will be created, gender-equal entrepreneur teams promoted, and Nordic solutions positioned globally. Knowledge and methods will be widely shared, strengthening the entire innovation ecosystem.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to plan to develop quality-assured, needs-driven innovation support for healthtech companies. Using a structured maturation process, progress was tracked in technology, market, team, sustainability and regulatory requirements. Despite the pandemic and a tougher investment climate, the schedule was kept, partnerships strengthened, and CO-AX launched, boosting visibility, positioning and exceeding original goals.
