Important results from the project

The main goal of the project was to validate the fundamental components of the platform Acredly.ai. For instance, this included that the platform meets the needs of both customers and applicants and that the technical solution is scalable. It became apparent that the product adds a lot of value in the recruitment process. The candidates saw an improved user experience, since they were able to share their academic data with a few clicks in the application process.

Expected long term effects

Based on the data collected during the trial projects with customers and applicants from Sweden and internationally the team behind Acredly have a good idea of how to take the product to the next level, in terms of product development as well as within marketing and go-to-market strategy. As a result of the project with Vinnova the future for the service is promising and we hope to see our first paying customers during 2022 and start a scale-up-phase after that.

Approach and implementation

During the project a few challenges appeared in the sales funnel. Since the product is very unique and new on the market it was challenging to explain for the customers how the service works and how it will be integrated with their current systems in a comprehensible and concise way. It was also shown that a higher ROI could be achieved using cold-calling than through digital marketing channels. Another challenge was in how to improve the UX controlled by other actors, such as the EMREX system.
