Purpose and goal
The purpose of the exchange is to strengthen collaboration between AstaZero/RISE (Sweden) and the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI, USA) within AI, digital infrastructure and 6G-enabled systems. The visit supports Sweden’s national 6G ambitions through Digital Arena Sweden, coordinated by RISE and AstaZero. The mobility establishes a foundation for sustained cooperation between AstaZero/RISE and TTI.
Expected effects and result
Results will be shared within Digital Arena Sweden and through international forums, contributing to open, secure and inclusive 6G development. It will deliver a framework for joint test cases and data sharing between AstaZero and TTI, strengthening both countries’ innovation ecosystems. The project team combines complementary expertise in 6G connectivity, AI validation and cybersecurity, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and long-term collaboration.
Planned approach and implementation
The mobility is planned to consist of one exchange period where Samuel Bach from AstaZero travels to the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in College Station, Texas, for approximately five weeks, from 9 January 2026 to 13 February 2026. The visit will include introductory meetings, technical workshops and joint planning sessions with TTI’s research teams at the RELLIS Campus and the Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC).
