Purpose and goal

This project aims to strengthen Uppsala University´s application to the EU Horizon (HEU) call "Disaster-Resilient Society 2025" (Horizon-CL3-2025-DRS-04), which welcomes contributions for the use of robots and autonomous systems in high-risk disaster scenarios. The purpose of the project is to secure funding for the time needed by the coordinator to lead the application, the traveling required to complete the planned consortium, and to acquire consultation services to help write the application.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in a competitive application for the described HEU call. In particular, the coordinator is expected to form a strong consortium, including Ukrainian partners (required by the HEU call), that possesses suitable complementary competencies around multi-robot systems. Additionally, part of the project´s resources will be used to obtain assistance from external consultants, whose specific expertise and experience will help to optimize the HEU application.

Planned approach and implementation

The planned approach consists of four objectives, which will be implemented via the following work packages in the specified timelines: WP1: Develop project scope and allocate consortium members following their expertise (2025-07-07 to 2025-08-07) WP2. Create a work plan (2025-07-07 to 2025-08-31) WP3. Develop and finalize the budget (2025-08-10 to 2025-08-25) WP4. Write and submit the RIA application (2025-08-10 to 2025-11-12)
