Foresight wednesday - November 19, 2025

Digitally Wed 19 Nov 2025 at 12:05-13:00

Welcome to a lunch hour where you are treated to a hefty dose of future thinking!

This web page has been machine translated. If there are any uncertainties, please refer to the Swedish text.

Our scouts share faint signals they've picked up in the present that tell them something about the future - things that could grow into something new or disruptive. It could be about anything from emerging technologies and geopolitics to the future of partying or how Christmas might be celebrated.

The rules are simple: Each scout has 5 minutes for their scouting, followed by a short joint reflection where we discuss what we just heard.

Please tell colleagues and contacts who might be curious!

Welcome!

What is strategic foresight?

Strategic foresight is a set of methods for systematically identifying and understanding trends, risks and opportunities. Strategic foresight enables long-term planning and flexibility for alternative future scenarios. Through strategic foresight, organisations can prepare for different futures and manage uncertainties in the external environment.

Foresight wednesday premiered in the fall of 2021 and has since been arranged 60 times with visits from more than 150 different scouts from both Vinnova and other organisations.

Sometimes we photograph or video record our activities. If you don't want to participate in photos or videos, please let us know when you arrive.
