Important results from the project

The purpose of ZpeedOrder is to develop ideas and functionalities to increase sales and improve productivity in the restaurant business. The youth also believes, with their daily experience of using modern computer technology that there is a lot of room of improvement for this particular business and enable consumer to use modern computer technology.

Expected long term effects

The result of this first step has given us much more ideas from the business that enables us to take the product forward and build a working prototype and try it to achieve a good and smooth user experience. The outcome has also been that we receive a positive feedback from the business, which is critical because the product has to be sold to generate income.

Approach and implementation

The achievement has been reached by using the agile method Scrum which shortly described; work is accomplished by working in iterative with sprints that are two weeks long. We had regular meeting where we identified sprint items and estimate the time needed to finish each items. After each sprint an evaluation is made on the result and further time is put on the item that took longer time than estimated and also identify new item to work on, on the next sprint.
