Purpose and goal

The purpose is to improve the conditions for cooperation between large and small companies by creating a forum where SMEs can use coaching to develop their innovative ideas. The hypothesis of the project is that absolutely the right persons have to be present in order to reach the full potential of the coaching activities. By gathering experts from companies with deep knowledge of the actual conditions of intended customers, primarily in the steel and metal industry, the project creates a forum that can support the commercialization phase.

Expected results and effects

The goal of the project is to increase the number of new products, services, and processes that reach the market within the metal industry within 10 years. The result of the project is a permanent work process to identify barriers to commercialization of solutions related to the metal sector. One of the deliveries is a strengthened network of companies and coaches with startup skills, including persons in the larger customer companies.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of the following stages: 1. Identify SMEs with high potential and need of coaching 2. Identify customer companies and the skills needed for the workshops 3. Plan, implement and follow up the workshops 4. Document and disseminate methodology for future use
