Important results from the project
As a result of the Project, children and young people can learn about domestic violence and gain a better understanding of how witnessing domestic violence can affect the mental and physical health, as well as information on the support provided by society. The result aligns with the purpose and objectives of the Project, which has been to increase children’s knowledge about domestic violence, as well as to lower the threshold for children to seek help if they or someone they know is exposed to witnessing domestic violence.
Expected long term effects
The project has met the expected results and predicted output. Space Secrets has had over 2,000 visitors within the first 5 months of the launch. According to the result of qualitative surveys conducted on the target group, we can see that their knowledge of domestic violence has increased, as well as their understanding of different expressions of violence and ways to seek support. These are important aspects for strengthening young people’s capacity to seek help. To better understand the long-term effects as well as the social benefit of the Project, further analysis will be conducted.
Approach and implementation
The project has followed the project plan to a large extent both in terms of time and the resources attributed to and used by the respective parties. Activity 1. Concept development was carried out in a shorter period than expected and we were able to start the development phase at an earlier stage. Thereafter, the activities followed the plan, with reservation for the change to activity 4. Launch which we extended to September 2022 after approval by Vinnova. The target group has been involved throughout the Project, as well as experts.
