Purpose and goal

We have started 22 new verification projects during the project period. These projects have been financed with an average of 27 942 kr. Projects started during the previous period but are still active have also been financed with VFT-1 to some extent. In total we have made financing decisions amounting to 1 351´, which is more than our granted VFT-1 funds. This is made possible by the use of an effective process for withdrawing granted but unused funds. Under perioden har vi för första gången sökt, och fått beviljat, ett projekt inom VFT-2, vilket baserades på förverfiering gjort med VFT-1.

Results and expected effects

The availability of VFT-1 enables the commercialization support system at LTU to make well informed decisions about continuing with commercialization or not. The decision making itself gives the actors in the commercialization support system a very hands-on and relevant reason to collaborate, which strengthens the system as such. VFT-1 has in a couple of projects been used as a part of a larger financing scheme. This ability is also an important part of the commercialization support system capabilties.

Approach and implementation

Decision making has been managed by the verification council in bi-weekly meetings. The conuncil has members from the incubator and from the LTU legal department. This also makes the council meetings function as an important information channel. The decision process has been slightly adjusted from the previous previous year and is now always directly connected to a given activity (or plan). The verification work has been continuously improved and we are now using the model we targeted for all our projects.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
