Purpose and goal
The resulting model will serve as a generalizable reference architecture for state‑of‑the‑art cybersecurity across distributed critical‑infrastructure systems, combining resilience and high flexibility with decentralized, AI‑driven decision‑making at both local and global levels. The model is generalizable beyond energy to other distributed critical‑infrastructure domains (e.g., water, transport, telecom), combining security, resilience, flexibility, and decentralized AI‑driven decision‑making.
Expected effects and result
Expected results: at least two signed agreements (i) a smart microgrid implementation partnership with Stanford University or UC Berkeley; and (ii) a partnership with a specialized energy‑sector cybersecurity provider to deliver end‑to‑end security over untrusted networks, including a robust communication layer for EnergyNet.
Planned approach and implementation
The approach is to carry out the project through strategic partnerships to ensure both technical excellence and practical applicability. Implementation will focus on signing at least two agreements: one collaboration with Stanford University or UC Berkeley to implement and validate a smart microgrid, and one partnership with a specialized energy-sector cybersecurity provider to develop and deliver end-to-end security over untrusted networks, including a robust communication layer for EnergyNet.
