Important results from the project

The goals were met by updating the Lightweight Agenda with new objectives and recommendations based on current global trends and industry needs. The agenda reflects the latest developments in lightweight technologies and provides a clear direction for future efforts. The project has strengthened the agenda´s relevance for driving innovation and sustainable development in industry, and ensured its long-term usability. We also present the economic importance of lightweight in Sweden.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to lead to long-term effects by ensuring that the Lightweight Agenda continues to function as a strategic platform for innovation and sustainable development. The agenda will hopefully promote continued research and investments in lightweight technologies, drive collaboration between different actors and contribute to a more resource-efficient and sustainable industry. It also creates a clear direction for future political decisions and investments.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented by updating the Lightweight Agenda with new objectives and recommendations based on current trends and industry needs. We reused relevant parts from previous versions and integrated materials from strategic projects such as The Economic Importance of Lightweighting. The work included collaboration with industry and researchers, and was extended to ensure that all objectives were achieved and the agenda became relevant and usable for future efforts.
