Important results from the project

The aim has been to promote the development of new innovative business ideas and value creation in new knowledge-intensive companies with great growth potential. The project has been based on the incubator´s processes with a clear intake and exit point and is based on tools and methods that in addition to general business development have focused on connecting our startups with competence, customers and capital. The outcome of the project has been very good with an exciting flow of business ideas and we have been able to develop both our startups and our methods in a fruitful way.

Expected long term effects

A total of 61 startup companies have received support via the project, which has resulted in a number of market introductions of new knowledge-intensive products and services that drives innovation and development. It has become smoother and more accurate for the startups to get access to both capital and competence. The increased focus on matching our startups with existing businesses as potential customers and partners is expected to create significant effects in the long term and increased innovative power in Swedish business and organizations.

Approach and implementation

Delivered relevant and fruitful business development support to ideas with great potential, and people with strong drive who want to build and develop the new knowledge-driven companies of the future. It has been central to create meeting places that can lead to capital, competence and customer contacts for our startups, provide business support that makes them interesting and attractive. Communication efforts have contributed to increased visibility and attracted investors. Matched meetings with larger companies and municipalities via IGNITE have become a game changer.
