Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to explore how the innovation environment Triple Steelix (TS) can actively work with sustainability. The goal was to identify needs, build up knowledge, networks and identify methods and tools that can be used or developed / customized to suit different stakeholders.

Results and expected effects

The project has conducted a survey on the concept of sustainability of SME representatives in the TS and identified a number of needs and ideas for further work on the group. A survey of representatives of few major companies in the TS has shown the great need for practically oriented work on identifying and assessing the needs for future action, action that is likely to generate opportunities for many stakeholders in the TS environment, to initiate research and innovation and develop business. TS will develop the organization to actively assist stakeholders working with sustainability.

Approach and implementation

A comprehensive analysis and gathering of knowledge concerning ecosystem services, and the tool ESR (Eco System services Review), initiated the project, which led to insights and establishing of a competence network. Interviews with company representatives and academia increased understanding of future needs. Situation analysis of TS, showed on future opportunities. The integration of the CPC projects gave rise to practical sustainability activities in projects. The anchorage in workshops verified ideas to seminars and training courses.
