Important results from the project
Through user-centered technology development, the project has created a digital triage tag enabling real-time information transfer throughout the emergency care chain. The project has largely achieved its goals and strengthened collaborations. The work has laid the foundation for a follow-up project to validate the solution through testing, enable integration with existing systems, and drive commercialization and implementation—first nationally and eventually internationally.
Expected long term effects
The project has the potential to contribute to a paradigm shift in civilian and military healthcare. Via continuous digital flow from the incident site, it enables efficient management, faster decisions, and better resource use. This strengthens Sweden’s civil-military capability and sets a national standard with international potential. The project also shows how collaboration between healthcare, tech actors, and innovation environments creates spin-offs and new eHealth models.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out according to plan, with relevant activities and good adherence to the timeline. Collaboration within the project team and with external stakeholders functioned well and contributed to the effective implementation of the activities. Some impact from external factors was managed without major deviations. The project developed as expected, although certain tasks and technologies were adjusted based on new insights and feedback from end-users and operations.
