Travel grant (2026), USA, Forest Innovation Summit, April 20–22

Purpose and goal

The aim is to attend Forest Innovation Summit 2026 to create the right contacts for a US establishment of Hyggligt´s software and hardware for profitable zero-clearance forestry and forest analysis. The goals are to identify and qualify pilot customers, establish operational partners (contractors/performers), establish data and research collaborations, and understand local regulations and market requirements.

Expected effects and result

The result will be a concrete pipeline with prioritized leads and next steps, as well as a basis for decisions on how to proceed in the US. This includes opportunities for collaboration (customers, operational partners, data/tech and research) and a better understanding of local conditions around data, species/regions and regulations. The effect will be faster and less risky market entry in the US and strengthened credibility in climate and biodiversity-driven forest management.

Planned approach and implementation

Before the trip, we develop a target group list, message/pitch and book meetings. On site, two representatives participate in the program and conduct 1:1 conversations with potential customers, entrepreneurs/performers, data and technology partners, research actors and sustainability/policy stakeholders, as well as network in connection with seminars and the exhibition. Afterwards, we compile lessons learned, prioritize leads and follow up with concrete next steps and timed activities.
