Venture The strategic innovation programme for Swedish mining and metal producing industry - SIP Swedish Mining Innovation

Purpose and goal

This project aimed to build up a multidisciplinary consortium for development and evaluation of methods to decrease the reactivity and amount of mine wastes, and secure the stability of the wastes. The expected outcome was an application to ERAMIN or Horizon 2020. An application to ERAMIN and Formas have been performed

Expected results and effects

Two applications, one to ERAMIN and one to Formas has been developed. An European konsortium have been built, which is part of the ERAMIN application.

Planned approach and implementation

A workshop was organised to merge industrpartner and researcher from Finland and Sweden to discuss and define research questions. Selected research question was the base for the development of two research applications. LTU have been coordinated borth of the applications.
