Towards a Health Innovation Alliance - introducing a Living Lab perspective

Important results from the project

The project aim was to integrate Halmstad Living La with Hälsoteknikcentrum Halland and Hälsoteknikalliansen into a new constellation called HälsoInnovation Halland. We have further developed need driven innovation processes to build a stable milieu. This is an up scaled, mobilized effort of strength to further refine a substantial theoretical base into practical application with united actors. The three entities are now integrated and work as an engine to mobilize the focus area ´Health Innovation´ at Halmstad University.

Expected long term effects

The different entities have been integrated by actively building a team and work with a common ground of value. The earlier experiences have been illuminated and summarized, surrounding world analysis performed and common projects executed. This has formed a base for the work that has been done to identify vision, organization, modus operandi, message and offers. A creative physical milieu has been created. We are convinced that we collectively are strong and well equipped for the future. During 2014 the work with operational plan and financing will be intensified.

Approach and implementation

The project have been organized in seven work packages: (1) Develop offers; (2) Create a creative milieu; (3) Summarize earlier experiences; (4,5) Identify and perform common projects; (6) Identify tool kit; and (7) Packaging. The project has been carried out as planned, but due to that all processes in the overall effort to establish the theme Health Innovation at Halmstad University have been initiated at the same time, this project had some difficulties to perform some of the initially planned activities, which has been delayed.
