The Technology XR-Arena, a platform for exposure of innovations for SMEs and the automotive industry

Purpose and goal

To document the need/value of increased accessibility to interactive expo via the XR arena to facilitate decision-making processes and streamline implementation. Facilitate exposure of ideas/prototypes without requiring physical presence and optimize current time/cost challenges. Find a sustainable solution that increases the innovation exchange between the automotive industry, SMEs and parties. Accelerate tech dev => future strengthening Sweden´s position in innovation/industrial development.

Expected effects and result

Design of prototype/framework proposal for how the technical XR arena should be designed to meet the needs of SMEs and other parties. The prototype is test bed for virtual exposure of the product/system within the relevant technology area, in a 24/7 accessible arena. Here the parties can collaborate, meet and demonstrate various prototypes. For example, nanosensors that show how a sensor can be integrated into a fuel cell technology to detect early leaks.

Planned approach and implementation

Implementation of needs inventory, documentation. Development of concept and couple with development of testbed/prototype built on Imitera Core (XR-platform). Finally, there is testing, documentation and compilation of results for further assessment and development of a full-scale solution.
