Purpose and goal
The Athena award for excellent performance in clinical research was established 2008. The aim is to show the importance of clinical research to develop health care and to stimulate growth in the health care industry.
Expected results and effects
The winners´ products, methods or technology have led to better diagnostics, treatment or prevention. The laureates have developed the care and created increased accessibility and participation for the patients.
Planned approach and implementation
April 18 - nomination start July 6 - last nomination day round 1 September 6 - the candidates who move on to round 2 are informed Sept. 18 - last day for the candidates to submit supporting documents for the jury´s assessment Oct 2 - Jury meeting November - presentation of the laureates in Dagens Medicin November 20 - award ceremony at Vinnvard´s closing conference
