Purpose and goal
The project was to design a practical-oriented training programs for individuals / teams that want help to articulate their mission and have a basis for any business starting to build a new gaming company. The program was developed in the spring of 2016 and was implemented in the autumn. In May began the marketing of the program. 26 projects applied and 10 companies / projects were selected before the start. The program has been implemented according to plan and the final meeting will be held on 9/12.
Expected results and effects
A development program for new game companies have been developed. The project has attracted 26 new game ideas from different parts of Sweden to the program and 10 of them were admitted to the program. The effect is that 10 new games projects / companies have received extensive and qualified support to develop their idea to a successful commercialization. The participants have gained valuable industry contacts among the more established gaming companies. The effect is that the established gaming companies have a new way to ´hang out´ with new gaming company by participating in the program.
Planned approach and implementation
The program was developed by people from the industry. Leading players from the established gaming companies have also actively participated The program has been implemented in close collaboration with established game companies and most of the meetings have been located to these companies The most positive participants have been the meetings and lectures with key persons of the established gaming companies and experience exchange between participants Another conclusion is that some of the methods used for the development of incubators can be further adjusted for game companies
